Giants hoping homestand against Cards can break streak

The last time the San Francisco Giants could claim a victory was back on June 25th against the San Diego Padres, taking the final of a three game stand.   Then came the Cincinnati Reds who pounded the Giants over a four game stand 20-6. And to think, back on June 8th, the Giants were sitting atop the NL West with the Dodgers a full nine games behind.  Fast forward two weeks and the Dodgers and Giants are tied for first place.

“It’s really unbelievable,” Manager Bruce Bochy said. “If you look at what’s happened the last two weeks, you’d think we were 15 games back — that’s why we have to look at the big picture of where we’re at, and not what’s happened.

The Giants have a major opportunity to right the ship as the St. Louis Cardinals (44-39) come calling for a three game stand.  The Cards just finished a four game stand against the LA Dodgers in which they went 1-3.

Be sure to get your tickets and get out and support your San Francisco Giants.  Great seats and cheap tickets are still available
