Sox pull off 5-3 comeback to defeat Giants

It took extra innings for one of the most power laden offenses in the Majors, the Boston Red Sox to complete a comeback in game one of a two game series. The rubber game begins tonight at  9:15 pm.

Xander Bogaerts slammed a tie-breaking two run single off of closer Santiago Casilla.  Bogaerts also had single RBI.

“He gives himself an opportunity to cover the whole plate against a lot of pitchers,” Red Sox manager John Farrell said of Bogaerts. “He’s going to put the bat on the ball.”

The Giants were without their Three P’s, Pagen (DL List), Pence (DL List) and Posey (scratch), directly leading to their four losses in the past six games.  Posey will most likely miss tonight’s game as well.

Tickets for tonight’s game are still available so be sure to get out and help cheer on your San Francisco Giants in the “Revenge-Game” tonight~!

Giants hope to regroup and find Old Selves

The San Francisco Giants core team is essentially the same that won the World Series back in 2012.  That same team did a belly flop in 2013 falling to a third place finish with a 76-86 record.  Now that same team is essentially back for the 2014 season and hope to get back to the Fall Classic.

The Giants had a number of injuries last season which led to their downfall.  Out at different times of the year were Santiago Casilla, Matt Cain, Ryan Vogelsong, Jeremy Affeldt, Hector Sanchez, Pablo Sandoval and Angel Pagan.  Marco Scutaro spent more than half the season on the DL.

The Giants open the season on the road against Arizona Diamondbacks on March 31st.  Great seats and tickets are still available.
